On the quiet winds of evening there are moments that draw near To illuminate my spirit with the things that I hold dear, There are fragrances that kiss me, as a mother to her child And whispers from far distant lands that hold my heart beguiled, Their hushed excitement mingles with the reasons why they came Just like angels in the afterglow of daylights recent flame, And for every smile that reaches out to trace love on my face I feel senses of such timelessness, of elegance and grace.
And the quiet winds of evening hold encapsulated peace For the echoes of eternity will never ever cease, Just like stories from our childhood that we took with us to sleep The dreams within those quiet winds are ours alone to keep, Within each strand of lace bound cloud a memory waits and prays And sometimes in the scheme of things, the evening’s treasure stays, Enriching you with love you thought you’d never feel again And washing every corner free of sadness and of pain.
While every now and then, when you are feeling very low The winds of evening settle down, until they barely blow, So delicate like baby’s breath , or kisses on closed eyes They wipe away the need for tears with tissue clouded skies, And then they bring you memories of loved ones to your heart That give you comfort as they did right from the very start, Then in your sweet completion, you feel happiness again And the winds of evening wander on in shadow silken rain…

this is another example of your gift as a writer. This passage is simply beautiful: "And the quiet winds of evening hold encapsulated peace For the echoes of eternity will never ever cease, Just like stories from our childhood that we took with us to sleep The dreams within those quiet winds are ours alone to keep, Within each strand of lace bound cloud a memory waits and prays And sometimes in the scheme of things, the evening’s treasure stays, Enriching you with love you thought you’d never feel again And washing every corner free of sadness and of pain."
