DAYS OF GOLD
Memories of days of gold dance fondly in my mind's eye, bold. Remembering those days of old erases my heart's burdened load.
Within me burns desire to revisit those times when misery was defeated by the thin of a dime. Cherished sentiments of this kind caress my restless and oh so weary mind.
Often, I wonder about those days and their mystery. Are they lost in the vault of my faulty memory? Have they been stolen by the hands of thievery? Or perhaps they have been folded into a blanket of history?
Today my humbled hands only hold rusted memories of those days of gold when my life was painless, elated and whole and when the depth of my anguish remained untold.

Lisa, this is liquid smooth and a most beautifully written poem this part is great: "Often, I wonder about those days and their mystery. Are they lost in the vault of my faulty memory? Have they been stolen by the hands of thievery? Or perhaps they have been folded into a blanket of history?"
