***This Thanksgiving remember those who are less fortunate than you...
NO ROOM FOR THE NEEDY
Witness the tumbling down of life's maddening go around. Feel icy edges of the devil's rage clawing to collect his or her prey.
Smell the sickening bile of too many lives wasted, forgotten and tucked away inside memories without escape.
Taste bitter agony on the tongues of broken-winged angels who have fallen far from the throne of grace.
Sense love emptying out of this hollow room as echoes of laughter fade from this dreadful place.
Hear the hum of hunger wailing outside the window as the thump of anger waits on the ledge to be born.
Feel wanton hearts grow thin and weary as the meeker ones fall even further and are left cut and bleeding.
Sense the strong growing more greedy as life's drumbeat drones on and on and on…
There is no room for the needy.

I cherish this poem. You have hit on the needs and agony of the homeless and and the greed of those in power who will do never do anything to end the suffering, there is much wisdom, insight and brilliance in this write write on, my sister of the pen

I love the imagery and languge of this piece. It flows so well These lines caught my attention: "Taste bitter agony on the tongues of broken-winged angels who have fallen far from the throne of grace."
a fine write, Lisa
