Lisa, this poem reminds me of Amanda Berry and her mother, you were on the pulse of it Lisa, you are a prolific and hauntingly gifted writer...a mother knows and never gives up on her child...absolutely wonderful and powerful writing

Reg and Betty, I much appreciate your comments about this poem..when I saw the news about these three wonderful women being rescued I was so elated...people in the Cleveland area have been following their story for a decade and I was always hoping they would be found alive...it is true miracle...I feel that Amanda's mom is watching down from Heaven and will guide Amanda along her journey to recovery...this is why I write these type of poem because the situations are real... Have You Seen My Child? is based on Amanda and her mom's story and I am so glad that people like you appreciate them...much love to you all:)

I thought that you had used their story as inspiration for this poem...I have been about Amanda Berry for years and about how her mom never believed her daughter was dead...great poem! |
