I am gripped by the entire poem, but these two stanzas have me mesmerized: "Slipping further, I am immersed below the surface, my hands are blistered and bloodied from the crawl. Under veil of darkness, I wear this thin smile hoping to mask agony of pain nestled beneath my soul's essence." a solid write, Lisa

we all wear disguises from time to time, hoping to cover-up our feelings...so very well-done and a pleasure to reead again, thanks for posting this one love these lines: "Under veil of darkness, I wear this thin smile hoping to mask agony of pain nestled beneath my soul's essence."
