:)Hello Echoes, I first wrote this one about 18 years ago. This is a slightly revised version I wrote in 2004. It was also part of the art/poetry exhibit me and my sister had at an art gallery in 1992. I pulled this one up from the Poetry Section because I did not have a new poem to post for the day...Let me know what you think 
ALL I CRAVE
I am alive with rage.
It pulsates, divinely,
through my icy veins.
I am led by all I can never have.
Like the rush of a heavy August rain,
I am defined by the thrust of my pain.
I live on the brink
of a slippery ridge.
I am alone with all my fears.
With desire, I am a fire.
I lust after sorrow.
Deep in self-doubt, I wallow.
On the other side of positive, I dwell.
I pilfer and beg. Of myself, I never give.
It takes so much just for me to live.
I am buried alive by my desires.
Not until I reach my grave,
will I ever stop longing
for all I crave.
