Loved it! I am in a smokey bar watching a man at the next table as he sips his whiskey and ponders his own destiny. That is where I am with this great write. Just excellent

You know, Lisa, I think this maybe the first long poem I've seen from you. Describing that physical, emotional of depression works so well. This line: essence of sanity
erased by
insanity's
vise
really says a lot to me, crushing, strangling, suffication of the spirit... the whole poem screams of that. |
