Hello Echoes Family, I am pulling "Eyes of Sorrow" up today to share with you guys...I know some of you have read and want to read it again and others have been asking to read it. I have made a few changes...hope you like it [/color] EYES OF SORROW
eyes of sorrow stare through broken-pane glass window, nothing to ease hunger pangs
mother walks the streets father never known, a child awaits rescue from this hell

so true and sad, Lisa
well-done!
I used to work with kids in these kind of situations and it broke my heart...

The image is sharp. You have such a wonderful straightforward approach to your writing. Lisa. Economic. Hits the mark.

short and sad. I feel the pain of this child looking through a glass of pain and hoping to be taken away from the misery. Powerful with these words you have written makes you see a long story. This poem has a lot of images to it. Word for word it moves you into the sadness.
