PRAY THE COLOR ISN'T RED
inside vacuous minds
restless thoughts fester
blind rage cumulates
coveted insanity rests
red blood anger
pushed to the surface
ignorance and foolishness
fights for acceptance
a sip of
poisoned tea or
a jab of an elephant’s
tusk
what kind of choice
is this?
serpent-like smile
silk-tongued
bible-belt babble
hand shake of the devil
selected promises
lie hidden beneath
murky half-truths
many minds
temples
wrestle with
forsaken
choices
mercifully, the majority
will come to realize
a donkey’s kick
is better than
an elephant’s trunk
or a cup of tainted tea
on the balance
of a pen’s stroke
a nation’s fate waits
pray the color
isn’t red

Tamika and I are having a great time at my parents, but I had to pop in and check on what you guys were up to and I am so glad I made the trip here...this one rocks my socks queen  ;D
