FORGOTTEN
immersed within dark-rooted anger a mother’s love is substituted for violence and rage within herself little girl searches for sanctuary dreaming of a better life and hoping for love and kindness her mind drifts inside fuzzy warm memories when her father was alive and showed her love but as she cowers from her mother’s rage she is painfully reminded that she is lost and forgotten

this is a deep and moving poem with much depth to it
violence against a child is so tragic and is even more tragic when it comes from a mother
thank you for the bravery of this poem

Betty, you have captured the fear, agony and isolation an abused child suffers very well in this well-written and expressed poem
