I think the Prosecution nailed their closing argument and came back strong after the Defense had their say...

I was in tears after the Prosecution summed up the case....like your excellent poem Lisa...the image of Trayvon dead on the ground tells the horrible truth and brings it home for us all

the rude and insensitive comments people have left on that site speak volumes....

I certainly can see why your publisher nominated your book for a Pushcart Award
the version of this poem in your book is even more brilliant than the one here at Echoes

this case and poem are so important...these lines say it all:
"cries of injustice speak louder than the reckless actions of this one lost man
a call for calm has been made to try to quiet the brewing storm
within engulfing winds screams justice for Trayvon"
I sure hope violence does not erupt over the verdict...

thank you everyone...I am not surprised by the NOT GUILTY verdict due to the make-up of the jury...I hope everyone in Sanford, Florida remains calm...I will keep writing about Trayvon Martin and about the travesty of this verdict and how a young Black man is dead and there is not a shred of justice for him or his family...take care Echoes family...
