Christmas Dream
Take me girl Don’t hang around Take me now I’m leaving school Getting a car Somehow.
You say you like me Well ‘like’ can grow I’ve heard them say Into love So, take me girl Today.
I’ll get a job Get money for me And you We’ll live life Stick together girl Like glue.
Take me girl And I’ll take you Anywhere North south east west Forever girl Somewhere.
I fancy you I make you laugh You make me smile We are so good Together our Lifestyle.
You look at me With those eyes They’re so deep blue I’ll buy you a pizza With coleslaw Love you.
You want a flower Take a rose It’s yours to hold I want to hold you Close and closer Enfold.
You can hold me Tell me you like me Here comes the snow It’s Christmas I’ll keep you warm Don’t go.
And through the window He gazed He watched her go Where to? Who is she? Don’t know.
And it did snow And it was nearly Christmas Final lesson at school. He loved her. Christmastime alone. A fool.
Maybe one day He smiled Then heard the school bell He packed his books And ran. And time Will tell.
I sell flowers On a street corner A young boy Buys a rose Wishes me Happy Christmas Yuletide joy ………………………..

Well, good Lord, of course she left! What girl eats pizza with coleslaw on it? All that pepperoni and tomato sauce covered in vinegar, vegetable oil and mayonnaise. Are you kidding me?! Otherwise a fine poem! But get her a better pizza and she may return bro! Otherwise, she'll keep running and fast! Take care, Mike PS - I promised revenge. This is it!

The spirit of Christmas shines out bright from this special little story. Then I can't but agree with the comments above, 'cause I too would not fancy this pizza. Christmas Blessings to you. Ulla xx

The young boy (in Christmas Dream) was a distant but direct descendant of a tribe that lived and thrived on the remote group of islands known as the ‘Dominique Colsanders’.
For maybe 1000 years they sat around blazing fires, at the turn of each season, eating their equivalent of the modern day pizza. The topping was strips of goat with finely shredded beaver, (cheese was hard to come by and tomatoes were sacred). In the midst of this feast a barrel of coleslaw, (real sliced cabbage in soured goat’s milk, they hadn’t thought of mayo) was readily available to spoon on to their pizza slices.
The rudiments of this ancient tradition continue to this day and the dish is often used as a ‘love potion’. Obviously today’s descendants (like the boy in Christmas Dream) resort to modern recipes. Usually they buy a pizza from Dominos and a tub (they don’t do barrels) of coleslaw from KFC.
I hope this explanation puts you critiques firmly in your place and just to let you all know, I wasn’t offended.
After all, it was my fault; I should have ‘worked’ this explanation into Christmas Dream.
I do hope we can all stand corrected, move on, shake hands, (or maybe some of you would prefer a hug).
I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Rusty
