WISE MEN STILL FOLLOW HIM

Born in an obscure village,
in Bethlehem of long ago,
the Son of God came down to Earth
so each of us could know
His love, to give His very life,
His all for us to give,
the reason, His only reason
was to give us a chance to live.
He came, He lived, He taught us truth,
then He was crucified,
to pay a debt we can not pay,
for us He came and died...
The Messiah, Savior, Precious Lord
to all who will believe,
God came to Earth, our gift of life
if we will just receive,
accept this gift He offers us
and follow in His way,
make Him our Savior, Lord and King;
He's coming back someday.
Oh that we would trust and follow
until that day He comes again,
oh then what blessings we shall know,
Wise Men still follow Him.

Wonderful message and marvelously written! I'm not all that religious or faithful in the traditional sense of these words. I'm so much a humanist that I become upset over this mess on Earth, how we've perverted it and why God can't intervene a bit more than He does. That aside, you sound like a less pushy version of my best friend, Sam. Sam is extremely devout and tries so hard to pass the comfort he has found in this on to others (like me for instance). But he's a headstrong, old duffer like me and can be a bit overwhelming in his zeal. This poem is Sam with more softness and for that I thank you!
