Gees Louise and Mother Mary!!!! Thanx so much, guys . . . yes, Katriona, you are absolutely correct, we do know this seaman..(lol) Yes Larsen, we have met before, and you are right on with the symbolism and metaphor in this poem. I am also writing about the green wave, a phenomenon that happens at sea when a huge wave, not broken and washes over the ship, again a metaphor in the damage it can do to an unsuspecting soul.
