I'm a touchy-feely guy,
I learned it from a friend.
There's no shame in hugging others,
I don't think my life will end.
But some folks just don't like it
especially from the same sex.
Men can get very bothered,
there's those who it does vex.
If another guy rubbed your shoulders,
could you remain at ease?
Or would you say, "Excuse me,
will you just stop that please?"
I do it for affection and
to show the warmth I feel.
To me it now comes naturally,
it's not that big a deal.
And yet some dudes don't care for it
because it messes up their day.
They tend to think you're
somewhat odd or maybe even gay.
Others feel invaded,
why'd you move into their space?
It's like a confrontation and
you're all up in their face.
But I'll go on embracing,
I'll just watch who I'm doing it to.
Yet if you're a guy, you'd best watch out,
I might give a hug to you!
