My Piano

Like a good friend, my piano knows
About my state of mind and heart
My fingers resting on the keyboard
I wait for emotions to play the part.

A melody begins from an either
Happy heart or bleeding soul
Tunes are flying high with joy
Or raising me up from a dark hole.

A Carol can change from Serenade
In between the notes I can find peace
Set in a state of mind to pray -
The last accord will shadows release.
