Like a Clown

People ask ‚how are you‘ or ‚how do you do‘
Many do not want an answer though
No time is left for care or empathy
Just for a little moment small-talk only

Some are falling into isolation and
We ignore their need for a helping hand
There and again we give to life a frown
Thus social values constantly drop down

Avoiding to be left out we rather smile
But a sigh can tell that inside we cry
So we’re showing a life that is not true
While it gets colder between the ‘me and you’

It makes life look like the face of a clown
The real feelings most likely are not shown
Not even summer can help us to feel warm
This condition might become our norm

Try to spare a little moment of your time
Let’s save each other’s life from mere mime
A friendly word, a smile can do some wonder
And helps the world not breaking asunder.

Very inspirational and true sentiments. We are quickly losing our humanity to so many distractions; it truly breaks my heart!
