She opened her eyes and she stretched in her bed, then she rose up just like a skylark
And her eyes still glowed softly ,for she had spent dreams just dancing in the dark,
Immersed in the beauty of what she had dreamed, she drifted just like an illusion
That somehow had risen from dreamland with her, in magical dancing confusion,
lace curtained light lit her soft elfin face, then lifted her eyes from the evening gloom
That brought her arising from yesterday’s arms, a cameo Princess alone in her room,
She wove herself onto the loom of the day like a tapestry waiting for rainbows to glow
Then she wandered alone through a greenwood lit walk, where kiss soft breezes blow.
Perpetual motion configured her rhyme, wrapped up in it’s own sacred reasons
Like a weathervane turning with each gust of wind, encompassing all of her seasons,
As she realised that her dreams were now real, she breathed in the fragrance of day
For her poetry lived in the depths of her heart where it rhymed in its own special way,
Within her the world felt a much better place, when beauty and love took the throne
As she now felt such a part of the wonderful world, instead of just being alone,
Then her dreams wove themselves into the fabric of life, like a tapestry on a wall
While around her the echoes of life came again, as they responded to her soft call.
As her day died away to a poetic rhyme, it seemed that dreams became just an illusion
Though she waited deep in innermost thoughts, still she could draw no conclusion,
She sat in her glade where her thoughts often strayed sleep gathered her into its arms
Her gentle breath tinkled the flowers, like a whisper that tinkles life’s charms,
Then she dreamed in her depths of the magical dawn that chases away all the dark
She woke once again to the sound of life’s words like the wonderful song of the lark,
She remembered her dance in the shades of a dream, but now she’ll dance in the sun
For she knew that despite Summer’s wonderful kiss, her season is just about gone…
