She strolled through thunder and lightning
As she smiled up to the heavens,
Her red Celtic hair flowed around her face
And her deep dark eyes reflected
The raging passion of the elemental forces,
Although the storm was deafening
Her song could still be heard very clearly,
For songs from the heart touch forever
Before their Godly echoes return,
When her smile lights up the sky again.
She walked through half forgotten memories
That struggled to reach her one more time,
And her floral servants bowed down in the rain
As diamonds scattered from their petals,
And bare branched trees applauded in unison
Conquered by the breeze, they will come back again,
Then she bent down and picked up a lost dream
And she tucked it away in her pocket,
She knew just who it was meant for and when it was meant to be
So she whispered off into the receding tide of life.
And far away on another shore, he gently fingered the locket
That she had given him so long ago, through life mists
He remembered her red hair blowing softly in an Autumn breeze,
He remembered the dancing beauty of her soul
And as he thought of her dark eyes, he shed a tear of reminiscence
And a wish that one day they would be together once more,
Yet where she was, the grass was green and the sunset gold
And the river where they had stood on its bridge glowed silver
With the ripples of every dreamer that had said a passing prayer,
For their new reunion was a slowly nearing yet certain thing…
