Hi, just some stray thoughts I put on paper here, really.
There are so many different religions and beliefs in the world today.
Many people, many faiths. And of course, understandably, every person believes that their faith is the only real, true and saving way.
Faith is an essential part of the human soul. For anyone who has no religion-know this-you have faith. You may not realize it, but if you have a belief or trust in something, or even somebody, that is your faith. It is the very fibre, the absolute essence of human existence. It is a suffocating and choking world for somebody without faith, for whatever reason, to light the often dark hallways of life.
The importance of faith in something, anything, is not so simple that it can be captured in mere words. Words are quite possibly the most powerful and valuable things that we possess, yet they are made laughable by such a strong concept of the mind. Faith and all it's glory can only be described by a person to them self. Only in a person's own mind, in the absence of words, can something with such depth be understood, and even then, not fully.
I believe that there is a higher power, something more, something beyond what we are and anything that we could ever be, something of great majesty, a final judge. However I don't know how to honour such a wonder. Many religions today believe in such a higher power, and have their own ways in which to proclaim their faith.
So how can one know which way is the right way?
So you see, the problem is not that I don't believe in a greater being, a creator,it's with so many different choices, I don't know how to believe in one.
Do you? Are you really sure?
