Yes, I know I'm probably going to burn for it, but right now I like McCain. Why? He's a Vietnam Vet, he's honest (I think) to the point that a lot of the hard core Conservatives don't like him. And most people don't like his attitude toward the war... but at least you know without a doubt where he stands. So what do you think?

I would never vote for Mccain myself and I do not trust him nor do I think he would be a good president, but 5 months is a long time and anything could happen. I am hoping he does not win but I picked probably not.

it is no secret that I am an Obama supporter, and I have never in my life voted Republican in any election general or local, and I have been voting snce I was 18.
I do not think McCain will win, I just do not see him overcoming the wave of Obama, but like Ken said things can change in 5 months and the general election campaign has not really begun yet, so only time will tell. But I am picking "no way in heck"
good question rrw...

I picked probably not, it looks like Obama's race to win tight now, but it is too early to call in my opinion and yes I am an Obama supporter

For sure! 5 months is a long time. And McCain cannot afford to take the Obama machine for granted. They are mostly silent but they are deadly. They've done a wonderful job for him. Would I vote for McCain? Right now, yes. But as was said we don't know what will happen. Some times winning the election depends on not making more mistakes as the other guy. McCain's main problem right now is that he is not the eloquent speaker that Obama is. Obama is great with prepared speeches but has a difficult time when he has to answer a question off the top of his head. It should be an exciting race...

When we look at the nomination race of both parties we sure can see how things get turned around. Hilary was the front runner in the beginning and NO ONE was even considering McCain. Heck, I don't think anyone even knew he was running until... He won! Politics can certainly be a nail biter.

OH rrw. Why have you forsaken me? McCain? *cries* I thought you were one of the good guys... Ok, so I'm obviously not American, but like most citizens of the world, the outcomes of American politics still concern me in the long run, so I'm following the race. Even though I obviously can't vote, if I could, it would be for Obama. (At present). On a differen topic - I voted here in Ireland for the first time a week ago Yay for being eighteen in a democracy. rrw, stop scaring me. <3

I just find Obama's political machine a little shady. Things like blocking cameras so newsmen can't get a picture of Obama to cutting supporters out of shots because they look too "Muslim" just doesn't set well with me. And Obama has really never said ANYthing of substance yet. But there is no doubt that he will win. McCain really doesn't stand a chance. And congrats on voting! I didn't even know you were Irish! And Happy Birthday!

I haven't made a decision yet. But, I am very tired of scripted, over rehearsed, over zealous, insincere speeches. Give me someone real, please!

Not sure, B3, if we will ever get away from image over substance. The beast has always been around. People want their politicians to tell them what they WANT to hear, not what they NEED to hear.
