Once more Daylight is born, bright on The Barque of Dawn with full-blown sails Displayed against pale peach skies between Far-away stars. The heart of morning embraces All with her charms. And the sleepy old hills Open frail-blue eyes to rose and mauve and Blinding silver as rays of liquid sun spill On white snow. Subtly, darkness draws apart her Drapes to find enchantment glowing in the air For gentle night has adorned the land in diamonds And Dawn tied gold ribbons in her hair before She had gone. The first pearly tears of morning Mist thrown like a gossamer shawl and tossed Around tangled leaves of trees silently drifting away Smothering sound, drowning light and the glen Is lost under veils of dreamy white lace. Warmth creeps, seeps softly to where I stand Enfolding me in blissful arms. And in a moment Of wonder, I feel that I too have been part Of the miracle of rebirth. That I died with The night and was born again with new day And now I know why angels leave their Berth, I know where Heavens kiss earth.....

Wow, I am blown away by the quality of poetry I have found on this site so far and this one continues in that fashion. I am a little awed by how vivid the descriptions are, the opening stanza is absolutely beautiful, so colourful and vibrant - it doesn't just feel like the dawn of a new morning, it could be like seeing daylight for the first time. I think the speaker seems to share that view too, because the second stanza helped make this poem even more memorable, the connection between the speaker and nature suggested to me someone who truly does love their environment. So many outstanding lines, but one in particular touched me:
"The heart of morning embraces All with her charms" - beautiful writing, a sincere pleasure to read.
