lately, i have been in this feline mood for some kind of wildness, that which exhales the tigress fire out of my lungs bearing the veins of days' routine movements pruned to the barest of a payroll’s droll… antiseptic cubicles dictate the rags of chlorine-infected noons where rooms i strut around have nothing except robotic people, same rye snacks, basins of expired coffee and files of schizoid folio..
just outside, the sky coughs of gas masks rendering a paper bag of humanity to suffocate clanking bones in claustrophobic subways: such a hemorrhaging day waiting for 5pm to hiss halt and heave…
i need to dance with the hands of a jazzy moon fondling my back and whistling the moans of abandonment when all but the spirit lusts for just a sliver of raw breaths spiraling into sweet punches of rockstar blues. spare me the cranky claws of a friday so sore; i alight like a lion siren dressed in satin sheen with cabaret wings, feathers splattered on scarlet cobblestones, voluptuous legs hot and wild sniffing sultry musk scent of friday night’s parade. the owls are just as free. nenette

May I start by saying "wow!"?! I love a poem with such a great hook early on and this one certainly had that; the introduction of a speaker who is ready to burst in her desire to seek a more stimulating existence was wonderful, I really felt the sense of excitement and enthusiasm leap from the screen. What elevated this poem to an even higher level was how you then showed us why so much of that ferocity was struggling to escape, with some bleak and quite brutal descriptions of mundane working life and being a slave for a wage. I don't know if I could find the words to sum up the final stanza, they were so spirited and spoke of wild, reckless freedom! It sounded like a great night out!
