This dark, dank, thick of night does surely have its way with all. The stars, their will devoured by his thoughtless lack of light. Does God beguile such evil depths that sweep away the universe, does bury all inside its simple emptiness? A death to dreams that yet have seen the waking eye which sleep does kindly bring. But Still the moon abides, her jaundice smile expels all treachery this sinful gloom emits. Regrets pile up along her jagged shore, and once more hope shines bright upon this careless life. For all’s at peace within this void so gray because dear Luna holds her heavenly ground ‘gainst the end of dawn, the end of days.

Hi Most folks do not know that we owe our existence to a large degree to the presence of the moon. The moon stabilizes the Earths orbit as it makes its revolution around the sun. Without the moon the Earth would tumble , stagger like a drunken sailor,no offense to my friends, and liefs precarious presence on this blue planet would have been washed away with regularity as it may very well have happened in our forgotten history. Very well done and appropriate poem considering the celestial conjunctions around the spring equinox. Farkas1

What can I say to this magnificant piece Rob, I really think this is one of your greatest poems that I have read, it is if you are from the past, with the moon a goddess, and then you bring her into the present time, absolutely brilliant piece of work, I nominate this POTM.

Johan Wow! thinks Johan! I tried to get some pictures the other night of the "Super Moon." But it was way to bright. This pic I thought was so eerie! only light was the moon.... poem just kind of came from it. Here's another pic I too that night:

a seething write that asks for normalcy despite the rage of days, robert... and how the use of " moon" as a creative handle to express your divided, deep thoughts can make a whole lot of difference to this elegant poem... touched and happy congrats!!
