It’s magic
I stared into the starlit sky Saw a shooting star there fly It stirred a sense of love profound As it flew by without a sound
Know that this sight can hardly be An accident that I should see Therefore I mused on heaven's love While watching stars so far above Pondering the sky I wished to know The one who makes meteors go And I realize its all beyond Heaven and earth move by love's bond We have day or night, fog or cloud The sky is magic without doubt And for whatever we will face Let's be aware of our God's grace

Simple, religious and, as usual, as sweet as its author. When my daughter, Alyssa, lived home, she and I when outside twice to watch "shooting stars". They were forecast and we were lucky to have two dark, clear and cloudless nights. What's really "cool" about them is how you usually see them from the corner of your eye. You look one way and they appear on the other side of you. It's an experience we shared (just us two) that I'll always remember and cherish. Especially now that my little "shooting star" has grown up and moved out! Take care, Mike

Victor, lots of thanks for your kind comment! It means especially much to me because I never dared hope that my writes in English could be good enough, after all it is not my mother tongue and I never studied this my favourite language. It may sound strange, but I can express my thoughts and feelings much better in English than in German, although it remains imperfect. Glad you can find something from my humble words. Blessings! Ulla xx
