As I roam the paths above the cliffs The ancient rocks become my friend I hear them whispering to me This is God's acre and cannot end The sea far beneath me Breaths as she ebbs and flows Covering the rocky reefs In a white combed dashing show The sky far above me The clouds in all their shapes A three masted clipper, a flock of sheep A field of farmers seed rape I breath the ozone smelling air I feel the spray upon my face I feel my spirit will stay here Not leave without a trace.

Liked this Sir, well done, heartfelt and descriptive as usual. I'm not overly religious my friend yet I'm also not sure that any soul ever "leaves without a trace". Some people believe in ghosts. Though I've never seen one (my sister and niece claim they have), I don't disbelieve either. But even leaving ghosts aside we leave many traces in the children and grandchildren we leave behind, in the work that we do and in the people who lives we touch. In our cases Andrew we also leave our poetry. Namaste, Mike
