~SKELETONS ON PARADE~

Skeletons on parade
stomp the death grounds on a raid.
Crow on the stone caws a requiem
for the bones that rattle them.

Poe in his death suit writes the rune
of the death march to Old Hell's Inn.
He shot down the bird with a word to the stone's core
and, quoth that raven, Nevermore.

Then that raven joined the march
with little bones of wings that arch.
He flew along side them and rattled the sky
with a skeleton beak and pits to spy.

Shakespeare rhymed the rattle rhythm
in alternate step as they marched on their tombs.
Couplet by couplet of bones shook the grounds
as he wrote the end with blood of the raven's wounds.

When they got to Old Hell's Inn,
to the Lord of the bones they read the rune.
With his approval they rattled dem bones night and day
and that's where earthquakes come into play.

~THE RAVEN AND THE WITCH EYES~

Out of dark shadows
a raven flew.
His wings around the moon
a circle drew.
A witch in her hut
had a potion to brew
as through Crough Woods
a mysterious wind blew.

The wolves on the
prowl smelt a bloody meal
while mice on their
midnight romp
through the hut
scamper and squeal.
As the witch chants a curse
she needs a raven wing to
seal but the raven
has naught a clue
of the deadly deal.

So on her broom she takes
to sky to hunt
the raven down and
captures him to rip
out his wing making not a sound.

She carried the raven
back to her hut safe
upon the ground.
As she tried to rip out
his wing the raven
broke free in a fling
and with each talon gouged
an eye from the witch's evil gazing.

Never an evil did that
witch chant again.
Blind as a bat her powers
met their end and with eyes in
talons out of the shadows
that raven flew,
her eyes a sight for rue.

~THE RAVEN'S CAW~

I am master of the fly
quoth the raven in the sky,
among the air of days sunlight
into the shadowy quake of night.

With wings outstretched the raven heard
that he a most familiar bird
was often spoken of in rhyme
by poets today and of past time.

So he in gratitude took wing
and through the seasons with caw did sing
a requiem for Poe on high,
a most somber, sad reply
to the masterpiece he wrote.
In his stately fame he gloats.

He settled upon Poe's tombstone.
Just the two of them alone.
The ghost of Poe rose from the moor.
Quoth the raven, we caw for you forevermore.

~MIDNIGHT INTERLUDE~

The moon is cast, the night is pitch,
the words unfurl of lady witch,
Oh blackest magic bring him here.
I summon him through death's dark lyre.

Pentagram centered, candles lit,
she drinks the blood of vampire's spit
incantation in mists of deepest night
lifts black nether veil of evils rite.

Ritual by witching full phased moon,
raven's claw and beak of loon
are mixed in a cauldron of dark potions.
With a kiss of her lovers picture with devotion

she stirs it together with hair of her lover
then adds a lucky four leaf clover
and chants the words of magic's spell
when soon her lover upon midnight dwells

wrapped in a cloak of raven black.
Moon glow shines through her window crack
as she seduces her lover in shades of nude,
eternally together again in a midnight interlude.

~NIGHT WEAVE~

Crystal balls and magic spells.
Sorcerer sister lady hells
charms by mystic voodoo moon
to the hark of midnights tune.

Potions, poisons and witches brew.
Clone of evil inside of you,
Linnea queen of black magic's vex
conjures Hades in a hoodoo hex.

The stirring of a puss by her side,
Sabbath creature of eventide
worships at her feet her will,
fiercest feline, beast of kill.

Lightning strikes the midnight hour.
Incense burns a weeping flower.
Blood dripping from a rosary bead,
born from death of contrition's creed.

Blood-soaked feather in a jar.
Weeping angel in Heaven afar.
Broken bird wing dipped in blood.
Phoenix fire flame of rosebud.

Eyes of moon wake slice Heaven.
Second sight summons sins sovereign.
Incantation of evils eve,
Linnea mistress of Hells night weave.
