Nice nonet Lisa ! It would be good to know the rules for writing those, because the word "nonet" I have only heard of in musical connections. Heart2Heart

Hello heart, Thanks for commenting on my poem these are the rules for a nonet found at the shadow poetry website: www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/nonet.htmlNonet A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes with one syllable. It can be on any subject and rhyming is optional. line 1 - syllables line 2 - 8 syllables line 3 - 7 syllables line 4 - 6 syllables line 5 - 5 syllables line 6 - 4 syllables line 7 - 3 syllables line 8 - 2 syllables line - 1 syllable here are two more links that have similar definitions members.optushome.com.au/kazoom/poetry/nonet.htmlen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonet

I agree, it is rare to see a nonet posted, especially the quality of this one, beautifully done Lisa, and very much enjoyed by me...Keith.

Oh such a sad and pertinent theme, Lisa. And difficult to write about. I wrote one myself a few years ago and always hesitate to bring it out because it is such a difficult subject.
Just beautifully written though

Hi Jan, thank you so much! I really appreciate you commenting on my poem I would love to read yours if you would to post it or you could PM it to me. I think difficult subjects should and need to addressed on occasion in poetry.
