Jesus on
necklace
cold water
faucet dripping
money thin
food lean
in pocket
four dimes
a quarter
and lint
two job hustle
not enough
to pay for
gas food
and rent
holding onto
dream’s remnants
while gazing
at morning
sunshine
believing
prayer will
overcome
life’s obstacles
and illusions
this time

I believe you have managed to produce a magnificent work of hope and belief in the ability of prayer to be the answer to life's hardships. Jesus has his way of impacting lives through means meager man cannot or refuses to understand. I have seen his power and know the truth that exists behind this powerful and inspirational poem. He has guided your hand to produce a poem that will influence any who read it that there is indeed hope through prayer.
