I was a little kid in the late 50's, early 60's and my dumb older sister (teenage) would force me to dance with her during American Bandstand... I hated it then... and Dick Clark. But I was thankful to him and sis when I got older and went to my first high school dance. Thanks, Dick Clark, for all you gave.

I was a regular fan of ABS and I always liked what Dick Clark for what he did for music and especially for African American acts, he brought our music into the mainstream and I was always thankful to him for that..rest in peace Dick Clark...thanks for the link Lisa...

I was shocked when I heard about his death. I always liked him and I loved ABS...I pray his soul is resting peacefully...

I was so sad when I first heard that he had died...he was a long time favorite guy in my household, we never missed his New Year's Eve shows, he was a great talent and a nice man that will be missed...rest in peace dear Dick Clark...thanks for the link, Lisa...

very sad, he was a favorite in our hosuehold too while I was growing up and to this day, never missed those New Year's Eve shows, I hope he is at peace...

i loved his rockin new year's eve parties on new year's every year in the late 70's on till last year, bandstand was before my time. i8 wish they would show reruns,,,, he will be missed....
