The Essence
The essence of our life is To perceive and spread it, The source of undistorted joy, Is from nature a divine gift.
To possess can be illusory Better you weed out the greed Give up desire, melt the anger, Share of all good your seed.
Soul searching evaporates Distance and delusion, Sultry patterns drop off the day, Clear your mind from mere illusion.
When essence freed from ballast Grants breath that's fresh and deep, You may be liberated from All forms of distractions breed.

Nice, PS! I like the whole idea and particularly love the phrase: Better you weed out the greed Give up desire, melt the anger, Share of all good your seed. Has a nice springy bounce. And the straight ahead, "here how is" feel is a joy to read.

"Melt the anger", ah dear friend, so much easier said than done! Would that I could, perhaps I must try harder. Your words are very meaningful. Yet even with so much good and beautiful around us, there's also so very much to be sad and angry about. So, great thoughts but hard to apply in reality my sweet lady! Namaste, Mike

You are certainly right Mike, in all that you say and I do not mean to negate the sorry facts of today's society. Rather I feel - and learned - that we can start a change at least in our small world like our family, or even just within ourselves. Like the sea "began" with raindrops, whatever we dare to alter or improve with little "seeds", can help to achieve some wider goal. I appreciate your thoughtful comment my friend, thank you. Ulla xx
