Songs of Light

Smiling at each new sunrise
On this new gift of day
Goodbye to the day before
It appears now far away

Hope starts with each morning
Helps our heart to not be blind
It's our choice to leave the darkness
Possibly far behind

Thoughts can work like shadows
Restlessly fighting sleep
With happiness stored in our mind
That's when sun rays we meet

So let's share light and love
Wipe out dark shades of past
Go through life with eyes that see
It helps our faith to last

Wait for the song of morning
After a dormant night
Fulfilled are tests of sadness
As you walk out into light
