See the wandering man on the street ! It´s the one there in the corner ! He has already been rich, so rich ... Meanwhile nothing is left but honour ! Poor beggar sad old man Who begs his bread - pence What´s his feigned friends Since just is left him pains ? .......

Love this line. It tells me the beggar is already rich. Friends may leave, but honour will be a light forever there.

The Beggar - a picture so poor but offering so much insight and wisdom of life. Nothing of eternal worth can be bought and even having nothing left but life does honour a person with respect. Wonderful poetic thoughts my friend, thank you for sharing with us! Hugs, Ursula xx
