Well, this is brilliant. Would love to read the longer side of it! Well. This was actually a meditation on my life. Basically, I went out to explore just how hatred can cause suffering, not just to the object of such hatred: "The greatest sin the Germans ever taught us was to hate. When a man hates so much, he loses all ability to love again." - attr Jewish concentration camp internee during WW2 (diary fragment) At some point, one's hatred can become so powerful that it occupies a person's entire life, making it impossible to do anything else.
