No rhyme or reason is in season as we dwell deep in our vanity.
Opening our maw we crow and caw, filled up with our insanity.
The world's our stage, we rant and rage causing pain but we don't care.
As the blood seeps and someone weeps, it's neither here nor there.
Because it's OK if you cry today and you will pay the cost.
Just one more beat, down in defeat, another soul who's lost.
For pride rules all so as they fall, we chortle in our glee.
And while they die, we don't ponder why as we only care for Me.
Mad as the Hatter, what does it matter if we cause naught but pain?
We're so sick no one will pick at the evil in our brain.
So hubris rules and we're all fools who've gone completely crazy blind.
Yet we'll never know as we run the show that we don't have any mind.

Thank you all! Jan, I think we all act like this at times, out of hubris rather than caring. Some people certainly do it more often than others but sadly I think there are few if any of us who never do it at all. Perhaps Jesus, Mother Theresa, Gandhi and a few others but not many!
