youtu.be/Y5TWwB_PCDc Nights out late, drinking that Brew 102 along the concrete rivers of old L.A.
Ah, those sweet drunken days now long gone.... and sad to say, so are you.
My memory’s somewhat intact. Remembering the smell of her hair those teenage years down by the railway tracks. Oh, that sweet, blue jeaned hunk of flesh wrapped tightly in my arms… rock and roll... you on the radio.
It doesn't seem that long ago you ground the gritty sound of your song into my mouth seeking tongue, my hips slapping back against her hips… Her hot whispers and your hot voice licking at my inner ear: Mm, Baby, what you want me to do?
You and Her gone forever. You will be missed… forever. —rrw 1-20-12

Thanks, Lisa. Broke my heart to hear of Etta's passing. She had a hard life... but sang like a broken angel.

She was quite the Blues spirit in her passionate voice.

Remember the blues well Rob, yep, everytime I hear of those that sung in the hay days passing away it makes me feel sad and makes one realise life isn't forever, great poem as always my friend.

Johan Yeah, the blues are something... but sad to say they are dying... again... but they will return as always... I really didn't discover the blues until in my 50s! You know Howlin' Wolf, Johan? youtu.be/F1LCKlFNRM8

A fantastic tribute to an outstanding singer. Nowadays it seems such voices do not "come back". Thanks RRW for a great poem. Ulla xx

Not sure if a Howlin' Wolf would even get through the audition round of American Adol. AN Etta James would get passed maybe but more than likely not win.
