Most people think of knowledge as something that's good.
But it can also be a hard burden if you do what you should.
For there may come a time of learning what you didn't ever want to know.
When the darkness is perceived behind this sad, crazy show.
Friends open up to us because they know we deeply care.
Yet then we must act upon what we've seen in there.
The ugly and sick we all keep locked deep down in.
It's now on the surface and so we call it sin.
And friends, we're all sinners in one way or another.
Yes, you, me and each sister as well as each brother.
There's no one but Jesus next to God on His throne.
And nobody is blameless for the guilt that they own.
But once eyes are opened up tough love comes to play.
And though we're faulted too we still say what we say.
Words that are meant as a harsh wake-up call.
Sure they come from caring yet they cause blood to fall.
Hoping friendship will still last as I speak to you.
Sometimes it's so hard pal to know what is true!

Nice, Mike, I really like the direction you went... Knowledge was the great sin that got ol Adam and Eve kicked out into the world... nice how you blend the freeing and the enslavement of man once he/she acquires knowledge.

Thanks but I wasn't in reality thinking of anything so deep or large as that. I was merely reflecting again upon a close, sad and very personal issue that involves a friend's marital situation. Still I'm happy that you found such a profound meaning in my simple poem! Namaste, Mike

Dear Friend, I know the source for this poem and I think this is the most precious token of friendship you could offer to your friend. Your expressed thoughts and care are showing so clearly and they lead to ponder about everything in regards of relationship. It will surely be received by your friend with grateful heart. Ulla xx

Ulla xx Let's hope so because I left this for Sam in my last call on his phone. He's said after several calls he would get back to me but he hasn't yet. That is totally out of character for him. So, it appears he's obviously hurting since his wife did leave. He may in part blame my wife and I. And he's too hurt, mad, ashamed, unhealed and/or stubborn to talk as yet. I continue to wait. Thanks for understanding, Mike
