Waters I'm a lover of rivers Much more I like brooks Such views feed my soul By these currents looks. Whether fluent or calm Inspiration is stirred And the sound of this move Gets my dreams spurred. Reflection on the water So keen to our eyes Green plants sway with the flow Competing the blue skies.
Crab and fish lead their life Hide and seek in the stream They will always be fed Even just by moss green.
Waves dance in the sunshine Warm invite for a swim Of course only in summer Since winters are grim.
Water’s murmur evokes By the hard grip of ice Still the current moves on As the time is concise.
Water shows constant change Much more than by season For our fascination That may be the reason.
I'm a lover of waters And sometimes I forget The most part of our world Is water, from heaven sent.

Small observation my friend! I think you want your last word to be "sent". A pretty and calming poem. Many people love water. My wife wants to retire and live by the ocean. There's majesty in the vast, churning oceans, tranquility in calm, placid lakes and purity in clear, mountain streams. I don't know about your country (I suppose so) but here in the US you can buy little rocky scenes with flowing water. They're meant not just to look at but to have the sound calm you. And Bruce Lee (loved him when I was young, still admire the man) said "Be as water!" It can fill any shape it's put into. It can flow quietly. It can crash down upon you. "Be as water"!
Be as water my friend, Mike

Indeed I am surrounded by lots of waters like lakes, big river, rivulet and brooks and since the sound of flowing water seems important to me we even have a pond with the flow from a source in our garden. The sea is my dream though... Thank you Mike, in fact I wanted to say the water is from heaven 'put here' so I wrote 'set' but I am aware that it is no real English and so I will alter it, as from heaven sent can express it too. Nature has so many gifts to soothe our heart, calm our mind, make us feel the magic of all existence. Joy and peace to you my Friend! Ulla xx

Well written, especially those last three lines. Many people often drink of the Source, but fail to acknowledge It. I guess that in landlocked Hungary, one can not but think of the sea and cherish the mere thought thereof.

Good stuff, PS! that idea of the water being life and that life is in constant motion is very intriguing. I enjoy your imagery and get the slight sadness hiding in the lines. Good work as usual.
