Peace on Earth
I stand alone in space, Watching whirlpools of people Blown by cosmic breeze. People who pillaged the Earth. Guilt clings to my face, Humbly and pathetically I get down on my knees.
Mighty planets, so vast and so bright, No one helps me see into infinite night. Please give me the strength To get off my knees And in place of my blindness, Please give me sight.
Now I always alone, Listening to the silence of time. I see myself within the dust Clawing at my face, Then suddenly, I am aware ……….
I stand alone in space.
We always prayed for peace on Earth And as I look down I see that there surely is …..
Peace on Earth.

Egad bro, somebody more cynical than I? Pray tell Sir, can this assuredly be true? Art thou more sardonic than my humbled self? Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, the end of mankind as we look down at Earth from the cosmos! Oh brother, here I was worried about how readers would take a poem about faith and an elderly lady and you post the end of life as we know it! Now that, my friend, I do find amusing! Let's both pray "we're" even just a tad smarter than that though like you I truly wonder about that! Bless you my friend. Mike Couldn't have come at a better time, NOT!

It is clearly noticeable that this time of year stirs extra thoughts. Very well done poem with partly heavy meaning. Thank you! Happy Holiday Rusty! Ulla xx
