(As featured in my glorious book, "Holiday Word Gifts" this book is already a classic thanks to all of my friends and fans.... www.casadesnapdragon.com The Christmas Tassel I saw you standing a corner deep of my eye. There, then gone. Tall - perfect . . . jeans and sweater, hair as sun-gold, looking toward heaven; arms raised, a glory light. I saw you sitting, legs wrapped ‘round my piano bench-worn. You played a song new, encircled with webs of grace, a bridge to another place, a time lost in space. I watched you climb through snow, foot prints left behind, coat, green -hat red, a Christmas Tassel; and I wonder why this year of superfluous joy I see you and miss you more I heard you last night. Howling secrets through crevices of waked dreams, laughter as a brook Apple Mountain soft. Your voice traveled home through trans - parent sighs Merry Christmas, Mum. Did you light my candle? I am here, all ways, I am always here. Copyright © Janet Brennan, All rights reserved Printed here with express written permission from copyright holder

Yes, Christmas always brings back the ghosts of those dear to our memories; a sigh, perhaps a loving tear. Love your poem!
