art by Katherine Luke, Abstract Wizardries and Design The light of a full- moon- night throws shadows ‘cross her shoulders bare. Begging for a time when she would not care that the day not come. For time spent ‘neath the neon glow down on 66 was enough to shrink her mortal life and send her spinning into the sand that swept across her one-man heart. A dream-weave-spun when he waved goodbye; sheep cloth tattered, hanging from his back-bent by years of youth, ill spent, and half filled glasses of wine. They are the same, sharing whispers, ‘You are better off, gal, ‘ as her wicker wept. He dealt in oils of devil and snakes, serving flesh but for a while. See his molt in the corners deep Tis why you sin and why you weep!Yet she waits ‘neath a craven moon. Her sagging breasts, a map of life. She knows her professor. Oh, foolish widow’s lore. and hopes a half lit stogie burning through the desert night belongs to him Oh, see his molt in the corners deep Tis why you sin and why you weep!

You weave a very mystical tale with this one, JB! With a lot of color. Nice phrasing, great sense of rhythm to the piece.
