A quiet Hold
Take my hand my darling Friend,
As the sun rests on the hilltop.
It has finished all its labour
Giving us warm light as backdrop.
Now it sinks below the forest
Lending clouds its glorious glow
Sit with me here on these rocks
Watching its celestial show.
Hold my hand and hear the wind
As colours play with the sky.
Your strong hand in mine so trusting,
Wished I must not say goodbye.
All that's left are dreams and tears
Memories can't take a place.
So I store this precious moment
Watch the sunset on your face.
