November, the time when bold branches Bid farewell to rainbow leaves and latches Are locked to keep the warmth and harmony For coming days, so dull and chilly.
Unlike in Summer, life isn’t heard or seen Laughter and flowers, as if they had not been. It vanished, this lustre in the sky Still, there’s golden light and you know why?
After crunch and rustle of leaves with each step Silence, the acoustic of winter crept On the quiet in the house and heart of mine, Leaving an urge for thoughts of Christmastime.
Last leaves are hovering with the cold North wind And in the morning, roofs and trees are pinned With hoarfrost, brushed on by magic tool – The change from Summer cotton into Winter wool.

i think this is a special poem - don't think I'm wiered - but the first verse doesn't rhyme and that is great. Because of this, the poem flows so naturally - sometimes we are restricted by the boundaries of rules of sillyness. (how do you spell sillyness?) (how do you spell wiered?) A truly special poem about a subject that has been written about a zillionth times. Well done ..............

Rusty, I really like your nice comment, thank you! You are right, sometimes concentrating on certain rules can reduce the essence of the phrases. (I hope I'm correct: "silliness and weird" are the words you questioned) Though my friend, I think that zillions have expressed even better... :-) Ulla xx
