Fighting for Hope
The rain is splashing, clouds race and the trees sway Like every morning it is for hope I pray Strong hope be reloaded and of light some part For this I wish, to soothe my broken heart
It is a struggle to wear at least a smile And if it shows it hardly stays a while Salty tears hidden, they burn in my eyes Outdoors the raindrops fall from darkened skies
Always I hoped and fought against despair Wishing that our home again we could share Those dreams now fade, reality seems done Except the known yet always distant final one
The battle against turmoil inside of me My daily chore, since strong for him I’ll be Pain tears my heart apart and I know yours too We had no time to prepare but must cope, though
Fight is rather insane, faith as a sign post With all of my heart I aim for this trust To remain a support so that we both cope And we nourish that feeling, this only HOPE
