There's a price paid for serving Humanity
Sadly it accounts for the loss of most sanity
But you never will dwell deep in sick vanity
For at least you know full well the deal
Having been around for a very long time
You've seen streets full of blood and sick crime
Aware now that all can turn on a dime
And there's some wounds which just will not heal
Still you try hard everyday to be brave
Never will you toil as anyone's slave
Yet you must fight til you go to your grave
Because this my friend is the way that you feel

So powerful, deep and sadly true. A succinct poem stirring real cosciousness to the state of society and present life. A strong read, thank you. Blessings, Ursula xx
