The angel with forget-me-not eyes played harp music forever
From each new dawn her soul was borne towards the twelfth of never,
Wherever her harp strings resonate, no one could really walk on by
To stop and heed with rapt surprise, her lovely songs of summer’s sky ,
She quite often played beneath the shade of the magic angel tree
And her harp songs danced in sweet romance, as far as she could see,
In all the lands no angel lived who played such wondrous melodies
Whether playing in green meadows, or before the mighty seas.
The angel with the newborn dawn smile was blessed by sunny showers
That dripped their rainbows through the clouds to decorate the hours,
And every song played so differently, sweet melodies of long before
And the pure fact remains that really, who could want for any more,
Then a child looked up to the sky, and felt dressed in forever’s smoke
Protecting it from before the rising dawn’s soft wispy trailing cloak,
The child picked up a rainbow that had fallen silently to the ground
That spoke of heaven’s glittering wonders with making any sound.
The angel with forget me not eyes was so wrapped up in her songs
That she had so many blessings, and could even do not any wrongs,
Her soul was filled with wonders that no mortal being could hear
Unless their own soul was blessed by God, and held no hate or fear,
She wrapped her harp songs in sacred silk, and sent them on their way
To anyone in the world who needed them, on any given blessed day,
Then she turned the pages of each day that seemed so beautifully made
For sometimes in the wispy shade, another angel’s harp is being played.
