a couple of weeks ago I went to the
festival - which was well and truly awesome! Iron maiden, the best band on the planet by miles, were headlining, and it was just awesome from start to finish - almost perfect in fact - with just 2 problems.
1. incubus fans and punks are crazy and tried to crush us poor sods at the front to death
2. marylin manson preceeded maiden - which had only one positive aspect - it served to highlight just how good maiden are - he wouldn't stop screaming - he was just a total mess - he really was awful.
but there were a whole lotta positives - especially Bullet For My Valentine's superb performance. they were the only band that even came within a million miles of maiden's heaven;y performance
anyway, having proven myself to my parents to be a trustworthy sort, I am off to see trivium on the 18th - wich will be awesome - cos they're gunna be HUGE! (and I mean metallica or maiden huge - they really are that good)
