The Angel Watched By Janice Marie
When the child was born, To parents that didn’t care. When they left him alone, The angel was there.
As the child grew, Throughout his younger years. The parents ignored him’ The angel wiped his tears.
When he became a teen’ They wanted him to join a gang. His parents were never home, The angel let him know he was not alone.
When his friends were caught, In the act of a crime. The young teen felt bad, His angel was there this time.
As he grew into a man, Parents didn’t encourage him To make a good life, The angel was there through all the strife.
Time came the young man, Felt life forgot about him. The angel was there, Holding on tight again.
A drive by shooter, Took this young life. The angel was there , And he cried.
But to his reward, The angel took his soul. For Jesus never lets, A soul go.
