I was shocked when I heard that there had been an arrest made and that he was already in custody, I was never expecting this to be the case, I was sure he as going to walk free...it is wonderful day for justice!
Lisa, I love the changes made to poem Lisa, it makes it even more poignant, if that is possible, wonderful job!

I am as stunned as all of you and I am as happy as alll of you about the arrest...it was a great day for justice!
Lisa, I love the changes you made and these two sections bring it all home fore me:
"for the remainder of their lives they will forever hear the recorded sounds of their son’s last frightened screams for help
all because their son was a young man whose only crime was walking down a dark street while Black"

when I first heard the news, I could not believe what I was hearing, it took awhile for it to sink in that he was really being charged with second degree murder and then I cried for Trayvon and for his family and for justice, a beautiful moment that was, thank you Lisa for this glorious poem and I like the changes you made!

Like all you, my dear friends, I was stunned, shocked and elated and then my happiness turned into sadness as it did for you dear Betty, because I thought of young Trayvon dead before he really had a chance to live and I thought of his poor family who will always want for him and then I thought of the wonderful and heartfelt words you wrote dear Lisa and I prayed...wonderful changes to your poem Lisa!

I felt the same way, it was a shocker to me, never expected a charge in this case and never expected it to be second degree, should be first degree...anyway I am happy for his family and I hope they get justice and I pray that the killer does not get out on bail because I think he will flee...thank you for your poem Lisa and the changes makes it even more outstanding...

As to justice, let he or she who is without sin cast the first stone. Without the facts, conclusions are merely supposition and harmful to utter too soon. This country you are fortunate to live in says one is innocent until proven guilty That goes for Trayvon as well as his killer. Pilate also bowed to the will of the mob and then washed his hands of it Will your hands be clean after all is brought out and exposed? Will you all remember what you said now when another man is thrown to the mob? Even Christ forgave his executioners and even took two criminals to the table of His Father. Anybody with even an ounce of Christian mercy so soon after Easter will still their tongues and wait to see what comes to light. Peace be with you all.
