outstanding write Lisa!
I agree, if it was Zimmerman that was dead and Trayvon was the shooter Trayvon would have been charged already...this is a horrible miscarriage of justice and I am so glad they are not letting up with the marches for justice!!!
keep that marvelous pen flowing Lisa!

right on Lisa! This is such an important and well crafted write cause it speaks to the prejudices will still suffer in this country and will continue to suffer...it is horrible to think that a young Black can be murdered for walking down the street and nothing will be done about it, I hope the killer never sees a day of peace and I hope the marches continue! We all know if it was the other way around Trayvon would have been arrested on day one! thanks Donna, yes I fear you may be right, only time will tell. We have to believe and wait to see if justice will prevail in this case...

what i don't understand about this shooting is no charges have been pressed yet and on top of that he was given the murder weapon back.
zimmerman is hispanic and white from my understanding.
i do agree if it had been the other way around charges would have already been pressed. to many comments for me to read all of them right now if this has already been covered.
this country is nuts no one even notices three headline shootings in the last 4 days. they keep talking about who is going to be the next president. hey people 3 different shootings killed 14 people and another 20 approxiamately. a shooting in california killed six people and wounded several other people. this guy is in jail. a shooting in northern kentucky killed 6 people. shooter is in jail. i don't know how many people were wounded. a gang shooting in southern florida killed 2 and injured 12. that. one shooter commited suicide. any other gang members as far got away scott free. this country is getting bazerk.
the trevon case has been taken the few headlines that don't talk about the presidental race. no one probably noticed the planne crash in florida today or the tornados that struck fort worth dallas texas area.
christ has to be returning soon i pray.
